Spent some time outside this afternoon. Cylinder #5's piston is pitted badly from detonation, as
you can see in picture II, that it and it's connecting rod remained inside the block until after I got
the crankshaft out and out of the way... for the royal pounding it took to get that piston/rod out.
The cylinder looks fine, but the piston is trashed. Cylinder #2's connecting rod journal (and
bearing shell), as can be seen in picture II is scored badly... meaning a new/different crankshaft's
going to be needed, along with some fresh bearings and rings for the pistons.
Still need to take out the frost plugs and oil galley plugs and then it needs a good bath.
